Matt Buckalew is a former prosecutor at the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office. Matt rose
through the ranks and became an Assistant Chief of a felony court before joining Panther City
Law Group in 2021. Matt has tried over 50 criminal jury trials as a prosecutor and in private
practice ranging from DWI to Capital Murder. Matt’s experience handling thousands of criminal
cases ranging from minor misdemeanors to the most serious felonies has given him the
knowledge, skill, and tenacity to handle any criminal case. Matt is dedicated to getting the best
results for his clients, whether that is a dismissal, no-bill, or reduction.
Matt is a proud TCU Horned Frog, graduating in 2009. Matt graduated from Texas Wesleyan
School of Law in 2013. After law school, Matt joined Looney & Conrad in Houston as an
Associate criminal defense attorney.
